The third and last session in our AI and the Law Series. The genocide in Myanmar was driven by Facebook. The South Carolina church shooter was radicalized through Google searches. While algorithmic injustice is often portrayed as an unexpected outcome of an otherwise well-functioning product, the negative impacts of AI have been researched extensively and are often very predictable. In this session we will discuss some of the research that underpins many of the regulations, rules, and policies currently under consideration across the world.
